Positive thinking11/07/2010 11:11:51
I was diagnosed 4 years ago with lupus. I was completely devastated. I truly imagined
my life being over. I have rodeoed my entire life, have been a nurse for 20 years, how
was I supposed to live with this disease? A positive attitude has saved me. I still deal
with the constant pain, the kidney problems, and at times depression. But I still continue
to rodeo and ride the horses and although I no longer work as a nurse, I have started a
new career. I hope that all of you that are dealing with this crappy disease can look at each
day and find something positive and build on it. It becomes a very hard task some days, times
when the flares are unbearable, then pain is uncontrollable and it seems that there is no relief
in site. Hold strong, be tough and find your positive. It is worth looking for, I promise!
