This illness had all of my doctors baffled. They didn't know what was going on with me because I not only had pain in all of my joints, I had trouble walking and I had problems with my heart. It took months before they finally got me to another doctor to do test that showed that I had Lupus.I have been on medications ever since but I have had many, many, many, many flareup. I've even had problems with my liver and not from medications. This illness is very difficult to live with but I am determined to live as normal life as I can and since I have a firm belief in God I believe that this is possible. Having a place like this is wonderful, there have been times that I have felt so alone and this helps me to talk things out.I will continue to trus in God for my continued fair health.

God Bless

Ruby you have a excellent outlook on this. Yes Lupus can attact the liver and other vital organs. I need to stay out of the sun not easy as I live in the South and am the outdoorsy type but I find that if I follow the guidelines that Lupus sets I do better. I too have difficulty walking and have problem with my heart and kidneys and the muscle spasms are nasty. Lif if good and like you I too have a firm belief in God and depend a lot on my faith to see me through the rough spots. The best approach to Lupus is what you are taking...Learning to live with it. I belive that attitude greatly improves the quality of life. You are not alone Ruby and you will never really be alone, there may not always be a physical presence in your life but you have the strenght of your faith.
God Bless
